Meet Chris- AKA "Big Red"
Thanks for stopping in here at Two-Wheeled Life.
My name is Chris, but my friends call me Red, or Big Red. Not because of my affinity for red motorcycles, but because once upon a time, when I still had hair, it was as red as can be.
I’ve lived all over the US and in a few other places as well. I’ve been in love with motorcycles since the first time my uncle let me climb onto the back seat of his bike when I was still in elementary school. I didn’t manage to get my hands on one of my own until several years later when I was in the Army. Once I did, I knew that it felt right. I rode her all the time—summer, winter, rain or shine.
Alas, after a few years, I had to part ways with my bike and spent several years without one. I never forgot how much I loved riding and never stopped wanting another one. Life interfered for a while, and it was several years before I was able to pick up another one. Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to share my passion for riding with my family, who all seem to enjoy it as much as I do.
I’ve learned that even though many “bikers” seem a bit rough around the edges, they really are a wonderful group of people. Most of them will go out of their way to help someone out, and if you are fortunate enough to be a friend, they will usually give you the shirt off their back if you need it.
I can’t claim to be the most experienced rider. I don’t have the most miles in the saddle or a long list of bikes that have slept in my garage. However, I do have a passion for riding. I hope that my enjoyment jumps off these pages and gives you a taste of what it is like to see the world from a different point of view.
So come on—climb up on the back seat, or saddle up next to me, and let’s hit the road. The highway is calling and there are plenty of miles of open road ahead of us.
Two-Wheeled Life Mission Statement
Here at Two-Wheeled Life, the mission is to promote the positive aspects of motorcycling and the biker community by sharing the raw enjoyment that comes from seeing the world from the saddle of a motorcycle. I aim to enlighten the public about the many charitable causes and community events that those who ride motorcycles participate in. I hope to encourage better acceptance of the biker community by teaching people to see beyond the rough and grizzled appearance and reveal the fun-loving and caring individuals that we are.
